Pipeline & Tasks

Pipeline & Deals

Track sales opportunities from first contact to closed deal using the built-in pipeline board.

What Is the Pipeline & Tasks Add-on?

Pipeline & Tasks is an optional add-on available on any paid Batchbase plan for $100/month for your whole team. It adds a sales pipeline, deal tracking, revenue forecasting, and a full task management system — all connected to the contacts and organisations already in your Directory.

To activate it, go to Administration → Billing and click Add Pipeline & Tasks.

Creating Your First Pipeline

Go to CRM → Pipeline & Deals. A default "Sales" pipeline is created automatically when you activate the add-on. To create additional pipelines — for example, separate ones for different product categories or sales teams — click Manage Pipelines and then New Pipeline.

Each pipeline has its own set of stages. The default stages are: Prospecting, Qualification, Proposal, Negotiation, Won, and Lost. You can rename, reorder, or add stages to suit your sales process.

Adding and Moving Deals

Click New Deal to create a deal. Enter the deal name, link it to a customer organisation and primary contact, assign an owner, and set an estimated value and expected close date.

Deals appear as cards on the Board view. Drag a card to a new column to move it to the next stage, or open the deal and update the stage from the detail panel.

The All Deals tab shows every deal in a sortable table — useful for pipeline reviews. The Forecast tab groups deals by expected close month and applies probability weightings to give a weighted revenue forecast.

Logging Activities

Every deal has an activity timeline. Log calls, emails, meetings, and notes directly from the deal detail panel using Quick Add Activity.

Activities are timestamped and tied to the deal so your whole team has a shared record of every customer interaction. Stage changes are also logged automatically.

Pipeline Access and Visibility

By default, all workspace members can see all pipelines. You can restrict a pipeline to specific members by setting its visibility to Restricted under Manage Pipelines.

Restricted pipelines are only visible to members you explicitly add. Workspace admins and organisation admins always have access to all pipelines.
